Our 💛–Project in November focuses on a child who urgently needs a sponsor: Susan Muthoni.
Susan lives with her mother and three siblings in the slum. Since her parents separated in 2022, her mother has had all the responsibility and tries to sustain the family with small casual jobs. There’s no financial scope for education – which means Susan cannot attend school.
Magdaline and Alaine have both successfully completed Grade 9 and now stand at an important turning point in their lives. With dedication, discipline, and courage, they are preparing to take their next steps into senior secondary school.
Magdaline is passionate about social sciences and dreams of becoming a journalist or social worker. She wants to share stories, shed light on injustice, and actively support her community. Alaine shares a similar path with a big goal: she wants to become a lawyer to stand up for justice and be a voice for those who have none.
What unites them is their deep understanding of the value of education and their determination to keep moving forward. But motivation and talent alone are not always enough. Right now, both girls are in need of a school sponsorship to continue their journey without fear of interruption.
For us, school sponsorships are much more than financial support. They offer stability, trust, and the powerful feeling of not being alone. They allow children like Magdaline and Alaine to focus on learning, to dream big, and to truly believe in themselves.
Every sponsorship creates a connection that can change a life – for the child, for their future, and for a community that grows stronger through education. ✨
To go to school and get one step closer to her dream of becoming a doctor, Susan needs a sponsor.
A sponsorship gives:
- regular access to school
- learning materials and tutoring classesÂ
- a school uniform
- basic medical care
- foodÂ
- and: the belief in her future dreams
