How can a child learn, laugh, or play when they haven’t eaten all day?
Hunger is a daily reality for many children living in the slums of Nairobi. An empty stomach doesn’t just cause physical weakness – it takes away focus, energy, and the joy of simply being a child. For many of the children we support, the warm meal they receive through us is the only proper meal they get all day.
Our Food Program addresses this need exactly where it hits hardest.
On every school day, we provide our students with a warm, nutritious meal. This food is so much more than just sustenance – it gives children strength to learn, boosts their immune systems, and offers them a sense of structure, care, and stability. For many, it’s the reason they show up to school – because they know that education comes with the promise of not going hungry.
