At the moment, I’m part of the Update Team. I create and send regular updates to the sponsors. Since this month, I’ve also started getting involved in the newsletter and am helping with its creation.

While I was studying, I wanted to get involved in volunteering and give something back. At the same time, I didn’t have the financial means to make regular donations myself. So I decided to give volunteering with ULT a try. Since my first contact with ULT, I’ve been involved with a lot of passion and dedication, and I’m happy to be able to contribute to something meaningful in this way.

My favourite subject was English. My absolute least favourite subject, on the other hand, was PE.

I hope that ULT will continue to grow over the next five years and that, together, we’ll be able to make even more things possible for the children. At the same time, I hope that our volunteers will continue to be involved with the same passion, motivation and dedication. I hope that, as a team, we’ll be able to carry out many more great projects and make a lasting difference.

At my secondary school, the teachers who were class teachers of my class changed quite frequently. In eighth or ninth grade, we got another new teacher who was also supposed to become our new class teacher.
We initially had a few maths and chemistry lessons with her. At some point, she told us that she didn’t want to simply be a teacher who was “assigned” to us. Instead, she wanted us to choose her as our class teacher ourselves. So she brought a small ring for each of us and told us that we had to say “yes” to her becoming our class teacher so that she could officially become our teacher.
Of course, we found the whole thing quite funny at the time – and in the end, she actually remained our class teacher until we graduated. Even today, she still comes to our class reunions. That’s why I still remember the little ring to this day.
