What are your tasks at ULT?

I am part of the social media team at ULT and my main tasks include editing videos, creating captions, stories and posts and planning content together with the team. I also look after our followers by interacting with them and always checking what might be of interest to them. I will now also be helping to revise the Volunteer Guide, as I was a volunteer on site myself and can contribute good ideas.

Why are you involved with ULT?

I was a ULT volunteer in Kenya in September 2024 and was able to experience first-hand the hope and support the organisation provides on the ground. ULT’s work is great, I felt like I could make a difference and make a difference. Once I was back in Germany, I decided to become part of this large and important project after talking to the ULT team and Lea.

What was your favourite subject at school?

My favourite subjects were Biology and later Psychology.

Where do you see ULT in 5 years' time?

In 5 years I see ULT as the owner of several schools in Kenya with a big positive impact. I believe that ULT will continue to grow and make a big difference.

Tell us a funny/embarrassing/nice story from your school days.

I once had a maths lesson at school. We all had to get our calculators out of our backpacks. While I was rummaging in my bag, my yoghurt fell out and hit the floor. All the yoghurt was scattered around the classroom. On the walls, tables and chairs, including my teacher…. It was embarrassing, but also very funny! We all laughed ☺️.
