I am currently part of the Update Team, so I send updates to the school sponsors about the kids they support. Additionally, I’m involved in the Crowdfunding Team for the ULT Academy, and since that’s closely related, I also work in the Social Media Team.

For me, education is the key to making a real difference in the world. Older generations are often stuck in their daily routines and the “we’ve always done it this way” mentality. It’s hard to break through and push for change. Giving children the opportunity for education, and thus opening their eyes to sensitive issues in our world and their own communities, is the only right path for me.

History

In 5 years, ULT will be successfully running the ULT Academy, leading many children to graduation. I’m sure the second school for the secondary students will be built, and we, as a team, will have grown even closer, building further structures for ourselves. We’ll also have more planned projects and more time to make them happen. 🙂

I remember a special day from my primary school days. Our school was renamed Paul-Maar-Grundschule, and on the day of the name change, Paul Maar himself came to visit us. He was like a hero to me. I could almost recite the Sams books and the tattooed dog. A highlight was getting our favourite book signed by him. I think I’ll never forget that day.
