Su donación se repartirá equitativamente entre nuestros tres fondos: el Fondo del Club (33%), el Fondo de Emergencia (33%) y el Fondo de Alimentos (33%).

The CLUB FUND is intended to enable the sustainability of the offers, excursions and workshops for our children, to recruit new supporting members as well as to enable them to receive benefits.
The FOOD FUND is intended to support on the one hand our already implemented Food Program and on the other hand our project “Catering for our school children”, which was started this year.
About 300 children and their families can benefit from our EMERGENCY FUND in case of an emergency. Such an emergency occurred for example in September this year, where the house of one of our children burned down and the family was left on the street overnight.
Nuestras actividades con el ULT Happy CLUB
Los patrocinios escolares se ven afectados por las subidas de las matrículas y son aliviados por el ULT Happy CLUB.
50 niños más recibirán una comida los sábados y más niños almorzarán en la escuela dos veces por semana.
Los niños a partir de cuarto de primaria deberían tener su primer contacto con animales autóctonos una vez al año.
Una vez al año, los niños deben experimentar un reforzado sentido de comunidad, confianza en sí mismos y seguridad a través de excursiones.
Los alumnos de bachillerato deben recibir asesoramiento profesional individual e información sobre el proceso tras la graduación una vez al año.
Los niños de primaria experimentarán un equilibrio de aprendizaje a través del Día de la Piscina una vez al año y los niños de secundaria recibirán el Día de la Piscina una vez al año como recompensa por un proyecto de apoyo a la comunidad.
Los niños del programa ULT pueden beneficiarse del fondo de emergencia en caso de urgencia. Hay que ahorrar un mínimo de 1000 € cada año.

Con nuestro trabajo nos centramos mucho en la educación y en ayudar a la gente a ayudarse a sí misma. Apoyando nuestros proyectos existentes, como el Programa de Alimentos y los apadrinamientos escolares, creamos la base necesaria. Sin embargo, para que consigan mejores notas, aprendan de forma más equilibrada y se ciñan a sus propios objetivos con más motivación, nos centramos aún más en el éxito a largo plazo de los niños con el ULT Happy CLUB. Las salidas en grupo para los alumnos de cursos superiores están diseñadas para reforzar el sentido de comunidad y las charlas sobre carreras profesionales sirven para destacar las perspectivas de futuro. Las excursiones al Centro de Jirafas y Elefantes están pensadas para que nuestros alumnos de primaria tengan su primer contacto con animales autóctonos africanos y aprendan sobre su vida y comportamiento a través del juego. El Día de la Piscina se celebra anualmente con todos los grupos de edad, ya que éste es recurrentemente el mayor deseo comunitario de los niños.
A través de las actividades nombradas se encontrará un equilibrio deportivo, se aumentará la motivación para el aprendizaje y se conseguirá el esfuerzo para obtener mejores notas.
A medio plazo, nuestro trabajo debe ayudar a los niños, adolescentes y adultos en crecimiento a desarrollar confianza en sí mismos, a experimentar seguridad, pero también a aprender a ser responsables consigo mismos y con los demás. Gracias a las mejores notas en los exámenes y en los exámenes finales, aumentan las posibilidades de un futuro en el trabajo soñado y se abre una salida a la vida en el suburbio. En el futuro, los graduados deben actuar como modelos para las generaciones venideras y demostrar que es posible alcanzar las metas con el propio esfuerzo.
El objetivo a largo plazo es reducir la pobreza y el hambre mediante medios de vida más estables en Kenia.
Puesto que como CLUB sólo proporcionamos los medios necesarios y la responsabilidad sigue siendo de los padres, nuestro concepto se basa, como ya se ha dicho, en ayudar a las personas a ayudarse a sí mismas. A veces sólo se necesita un poco de apoyo.

We designed pens and notepads in the ULT design and had an exclusive ULT Happy CLUB mug produced for our members. You will also receive a welcome letter, a thank you card from the entire team and two paper coasters in the ULT design. Our highlight in the welcome box is the membership card. It is made of wood and was individually customized for you with a laser engraving. On the card you will find your name, your membership number and the date of the beginning of your membership. The ULT Happy CLUB is designed to ensure a full meal every Saturday for approximately 100 more children. The Programa alimentario was originally designed for 250 children. Due to the worldwide influenced economic and social crisis in Kenya, the food shortage and poverty has increased. For this reason, the Food Program is experiencing higher crowds every Saturday, resulting in higher costs. The ULT Happy CLUB is intended to fill this gap temporarily and to cope with the current situation. In the meantime, some children had to go home sad because they did not get a meal anymore. The money of the food program was no longer sufficient for the large number of children. We are grateful that we can now again see only joyful faces on Saturdays, since we can feed all the children.
We can now temporarily provide 350 children with lunch every Saturday and hope with new members to be able to stabilize the situation in the long term.
On the night of August 20-21, a fire broke out in the Soweto slum. This news shook us deeply.
The fire was started around 1:00 a.m. by a cooking stove whose owner was already asleep and later died in the incident. In total, five houses burned down. One of them was the house of Gabriel, who is supported by the school sponsorship program to be able to go to school. Gabriel, his little sister Emily, and his mother lost everything that night, including all their furniture, clothing, and Gabriel’s school uniform. Currently, the family is temporarily staying with a friend, but where they have a room that is far too small for all three of them. We are very grateful that they have temporary housing. However, this is obviously not a permanent solution. We would like Gabriel and his family to be able to move back into their own home as soon as possible. The estimated cost of rebuilding their home is about 740 €. But without help, the single mother, who earns her money with odd jobs, has no chance of raising this sum.
When ULT heard about this, it was immediately clear: ULT Happy CLUB wants to help! Consequently, our monthly project of the ULT Happy CLUB is the reconstruction of the house.
Our ULT Happy CLUB strengthens the sustainable development of our association. Thanks to your minimum donation of 10 € per month, we can continue to guarantee our offer for the local children even in times like these and constantly develop further. Under the motto “Happy children, happy members, happy us” we want everyone to benefit from the club. This month we have therefore created a guide on how you can easily deduct your membership fee and other donations from your taxes. You are not a club member yet? On Poolday you realise how fast a year goes by…
Because this year we were again able to organise our fantastic Poolday with 167 children and 15 young people aged 6-16. Originally, the Poolday was planned for April. We had to postpone it to 05.06.2023 due to cold temperatures and persistent cloud cover. On this day we had very nice weather – it was very warm and the cooling down in the pool did everyone good. The ULI team, i.e. Bonface, Rio and Margret, was there. In addition, our volunteers from our new programme “START into LIFE” helped. Among others, Agnes, Magda and Moses were there. They assisted the team in looking after the children and making sure they were safe to play and swim in the pool.
The pool is about 25 minutes walk from the slum. As we also had many small children with us, the walk took about 45 min. Our children get along so well with each other that even a longer walk is fun and enjoyable. The anticipation of the pool was so great that no one complained about the long walk. Thanks to the help of our volunteers, we were able to provide the necessary safety for the children both in the pool and on the way. The children spent most of their time in water fights, where there was a lot of shrieking and laughter. However, they also enjoyed swimming in the pool and spending time together. We also provided snacks for the children, so we ended up with a cost of about 40,000 KSh for the entrance fee and snacks. Converted, this is about 260 €. For the children, of course, also very pleasing: no carer stayed dry 😊
A day full of fun came to an end, with the wish to be able to participate again next year. Thanks to ULT Happy Club ́s support, we will be able to organise another Poolday next year.
We are in the hot phase for the preparations of our upcoming summer events in Berlin! Our event team is currently planning our benefit open airs “TECHNO schafft BILDUNG” and our participation in the “Zug der Liebe”. Here we will be diligently supported by artists, so that together we can collect donations for our school construction. Do you want to be part of it and support us at the events?
