What comes to mind when you hear the word “slum”? Dirt, misery, hopelessness? But what if the reality is entirely different? What if it’s filled with courage, dreams, and unshakable hope?

This film takes you through the narrow alleys of the slums in Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya, and tells stories of resilience, bravery, and an unyielding will to persevere. It shines a light on individuals who, despite facing the harshest circumstances, never stop fighting for a better future, giving a voice to those who are often unheard.

At the heart of the story is the creation of UNDER Lea’s TRUST (ULT), an initiative that provides children with opportunities and hope through education.

Education leads to power and power means development. UNDER Lea’s TRUST e.V. (ULT) is based in Germany and with our work we help children from slums in Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya, to become whatever they want to become. No matter if a chef, pilot, fashion designer or a monster truck driver. To make this happen we search for school sponsorships, supervise a food program and build our own primary school in Nairobi, Kenya. More and more children are being helped and we are grateful for every support.

UNDER Lea’s TRUST & UNDER Lea’s INTERNATIONAL – together, we are more than just a strong team. We share one vision: to provide children in the slums of Kenya with access to quality education.

Our work is driven by passion, transparency, and a relentless determination to make a difference. In Germany, we raise awareness with dedication, fundraise with heart and purpose, and keep you informed every step of the way. Meanwhile, in Kenya, we’re making real, lasting change – right where it’s needed most.
