Terry is the cousin to one of our Partner organisation “Soweto Youth Initiativ” staff volunteers – Mercy. She is one of 5 children, the second born. Her mom has no work and moved to Nairobi last year to seek employment. They have no father, and the younger siblings live with her grandmother in the countryside. Terry wants to be a fashion designer and learn how to sew. She loves dancing and favorite color is purple. She wants to study to learn more and become a better person and support her family. Terry loves to cook chapati and cake in her family’s coal oven.
