Cecilia Kamene

Hi, my name is Cecilia and I live with my parents, my little sister, and my grandmother in the Soweto slum in Nairobi, Kenya. My father is a farmer and plants seeds for the trees in our community, but sometimes it is hard for us to make a living. I am the oldest girl in the family and I am afraid that when I finish elementary school, I will not be able to go to secondary school because of the conditions in my family.

My dream is to become a pilot. In my free time, I like to spend time with my friends. My favorite color is blue, like the color of the sky. At school, I particularly enjoy my English lessons.
