Salome Wambui is 8 years old, born on April 25, 2016. She lives with her mother, sister, brother, aunt, and three cousins. Her mother does casual jobs, like laundry, to support the family. The family now lives together with their aunt in the Soweto slum.

There are no cases of violence or alcoholism in her family or neighborhood. Salome dreams of becoming a doctor because she enjoys helping people. She loves singing, and her favorite color is pink because she finds it beautiful. What she enjoys most about school is learning.
