“Hello, my name is Lucia and I’m 9 years old. I live with my mom, dad, sister, and little brother. My mom does small jobs and my dad works as a builder. It’s hard for my family to earn enough money – especially for school fees.

I love going to school. My favorite subject is Swahili, and my Swahili teacher is also my favorite because she explains things so well. I dream of becoming a kindergarten teacher someday. I want to help children learn, just like my teachers help me. I help my mom at home, and I’m a bit shy. I don’t like getting dirty – dust bothers me, so I ask my mom to clean me. My favorite color is red, I love rice, and monkeys are my favorite animals because they’re fun and smart. If I had a superpower, I’d make the world a little quieter – especially school!
