“Hello, my name is Blessing and I’m 7 years old. I’m a happy girl with a big heart – and even bigger hugs! I have a disability that makes life hard. No doctor has figured out what exactly it is. I can barely walk and often fall in the narrow paths of the slums. I can’t use my hands either, so I need help eating and can’t write – but I’m very bright and can speak well!

I live with my mom and four siblings. My mom washes clothes to earn money. We couldn’t afford a special school before – so I didn’t attend much. But now, I finally have a place that can support my needs! I love goats because they give us meat, and ugali with vegetables is my favorite meal. I enjoy gospel music and spending time with friends. If I could have a superpower, I’d choose princess powers. I’m nice, kind, and loving – and I hope I can finally go to school safely and regularly. Your support can make this dream come true.”
