Anne Wairimu is 16 years old, born on September 26, 2008. She lives with her mother, one sister, one brother, her aunt, and three cousins. Her mother provides for the family through casual jobs. Anne’s father no longer lives with them, and her mother has been taking care of the children since then. Now, they live together with their aunt and cousins in the Soweto slum.

Anne dreams of becoming a doctor because she wants to help people. She loves doing people’s hair, and her favorite color is pink because it’s beautiful.
