Sarah ist seit letztem Jahr Mitglied unseres ULT-Teams und ist gerade vor Ort in Kenia, um unser Team vor Ort zu unterst\u00fctzen und ihr eigenes Patenkind zu besuchen. Sarah reist dieses Jahr direkt zweimal nach Kenia, um unser Team vor Ort tatkr\u00e4ftig zu unterst\u00fctzen. Obwohl viel zu tun ist, hat sie Zeit gehabt uns Fragen zu beantworten.<\/h3>

Was sind deine Aufgaben bei ULT?<\/h2>

Meine Hauptaufgabe bei ULT ist das Versenden von Updates von den Kindern an ihre Sponsoren, was mir gro\u00dfe Freude bereitet. Wenn ich im Mai wieder in Kenia bin, freue ich mich auch schon sehr darauf, ein zweites Mal den Health Day mit Lea und dem Team vor Ort organisieren und veranstalten zu d\u00fcrfen.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Warum engagierst du dich bei ULT?<\/h2>
<\/span><\/div>\n\t

\n\t\t\t

Mit 16 Jahren habe ich meine erste Schulpatenschaft \u00fcbernommen und ein Jahr sp\u00e4ter dann eine zweite und habe immer ganz flei\u00dfig alle Newsletter gelesen und die Arbeit von ULT auf Instagram verfolgt. Wenige Monate nach meinem Abitur bin ich nach Kenia geflogen und durfte f\u00fcr zwei Monate aktiv mithelfen, die Kinder ins Herz schlie\u00dfen und auch einen tollen Einblick in das Leben vor Ort und in die gro\u00dfartige Arbeit von ULT und ULI bekommen. Schon nach den ersten zwei Wochen war mir klar, dass ich sehr gerne auch von Deutschland aus etwas Gutes tun und ULT weiterhin unterst\u00fctzen m\u00f6chte. Ich wollte schon l\u00e4nger ehrenamtlich arbeiten, aber habe jetzt mit ULT genau das gefunden, wonach ich gesucht habe - Nahbarkeit, Transparenz, ein tolles motiviertes Team und das Gef\u00fchl wirklich f\u00fcr eine positive Ver\u00e4nderung sorgen zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Was war dein Lieblingsfach und was war dein Hassfach in der Schule?<\/h2>

Meine Lieblingsf\u00e4cher waren Englisch und Franz\u00f6sisch, weil ich es liebe neue Sprachen zu lernen. Au\u00dferdem reise ich gerne und finde es total sch\u00f6n sich in der Sprache des Landes verst\u00e4ndigen zu k\u00f6nnen oder zumindest einige W\u00f6rter zu verstehen. Chemie und Physik hingegen waren F\u00e4cher, die mir gar keinen Spa\u00df gemacht haben und ich war auch nie richtig gut in beiden F\u00e4chern. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Wo siehst du ULT in 5 Jahren?<\/h2>

\n\t\t\t

In f\u00fcnf Jahren sehe ich unsere fertig gebaute ULT Schule in Nairobi und ganz viele Kinder, die dort unterrichtet werden. Au\u00dferdem werden wir zu den Schulpatenschaften, welche bis dahin in der Anzahl deutlich zunehmen werden, das START into LIFE Programm erfolgreich etabliert haben und somit auch nach dem Schulabschluss eine wertvolle Unterst\u00fctzung auf dem Weg in das Berufsleben sein. Ich w\u00fcnsche mir, dass unser Team weiterhin w\u00e4chst und wir hier in Deutschland ganz viele tolle und spannende Projekte umgesetzt haben und Weitere am Planen sind. Und dass unsere Dokumentation von vielen Menschen angeschaut wurde und einen nachhaltigen Eindruck hinterlassen hat.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Als ich in der dritten Klasse war, sind wir ins Schullandheim in den Schwarzwald gefahren. Dort haben wir jeden Tag einen Ausflug in die Natur gemacht. An einem Tag sind wir zu einem See gewandert und sollten dort in kleinen Gruppen einen Lehrpfad erkunden, wof\u00fcr wir zwei Stunden Zeit bekommen haben. Das Problem an der ganzen Sache war allerdings, dass meine zwei Freundinnen und ich keine Uhr dabei hatten. Nach einer Weile haben wir uns schon gewundert, wieso wir niemandem mehr begegnen und allgemein kam uns die Zeit ein wenig lang vor. Da wir uns aber verlaufen hatten und den Weg zur\u00fcck nicht gefunden haben und kein Handy hatten, haben wir uns dazu entschieden, an der Stelle zu warten, wo wir gerade waren. Nach einiger Zeit hat uns dann ganz verzweifelt unsere Lehrerin mitten im Wald gefunden und uns erkl\u00e4rt, dass wir schon seit einer halben Stunde h\u00e4tten zur\u00fcck sein m\u00fcssen, aber davon hatten wir nat\u00fcrlich keine Ahnung, so ganz ohne Uhr und Orientierung.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
